"Une Belle Amitie"
(French Translation: A Beautiful Friendship) <-- Smaller font
Alice Williams (American) has been painting for over five decades, using color and energetic brushstrokes to express her personality and her passion for art. Clearly inspired by the Post-Impressionist artist of France and having traveled back and forth throughout her career, in 20012, Alice and her husband Don - with the encouragement of friends - moved permanently to France, settling in the village of Lourmarin, in the Luberon region of Provence.
It was here in Lourmarin where Alice befriended a charming neighbor named Bernadette that owns a lovely chambres d’hôte (bed & breakfast) in the heart of the village. So ensued an inspiring friendship that Alice has captured over the years on canvas.
This special exhibition of over 25 original oil paintings by Alice Williams includes six pieces created through the months of October and November in Bernadette's Villa. Accompanied by a short-film, Alice tells the story of this Beautiful Friendship in her own words.
