Larry Horowitz: A Sense of Place

Larry Horowitz: A Sense of Place

Hagan Fine Art is celebrating our newest artist, Larry Horowitz for the month of May.

“Larry’s expansive landscapes beckon me to the horizon. I scan the tree line or trace the water’s edge and I find the liveliest of solitudes filling each canvas. I am entranced.” -- Allison Hull, Gallery Director

Larry Horowitz is an American landscape painter and New York City native. He currently shows in galleries across the United States and in Canada. His work is in many major corporate and private collections. He has been selected to participate in the Arts-In-Embassies program in the United States Embassies in Finland and Russia.

Horowitz's work captures the beauty of the American landscape with an expert use of texture and color that invites imagination and discovery. Through his art, Horowitz strives to depict America's vanishing landscape. Although he paints en plein air, he has a firm grounding in abstract expressionism through his education with former students from the Bauhaus and Hans Hofmann school. He has combined both points of view to develop his own unique language.

Please join us Friday, May 3rd from 5-8pm to meet Larry and enjoy being one of the first to see the new original paintings.

If you haven't been to Downtown Charleston's First Fridays yet, you're in for a treat! Be one of the first people to see the wonderful body of work Larry has brought to the gallery and be sure to say "Hi" to him and all of us here at Hagan Fine Art.
