Amy Dixon: Insightful

"Painting is an intuitive process for me. Insight might well become a verb, as the act of being insightful is so key to standing in front of a blank canvas.  Ideas are fluid and part of my DNA. Executing these thoughts unfolds into abstraction on one level and loose realism in another composition. Extending my range from large scale poetic paintings to luminous interiors and still lifes optimizes discovery while striving to develop a unique voice on canvas." - Amy Dixon

Hagan Fine Art is celebrating Amy Dixon's 2019 visit to Charleston.

Amy Dixon is a Louisiana native who currently lives and works in Colorado, where she produces beautiful large scale abstract paintings that inspire everyone who sees them. Her paintings are full of energy, expression, and an abundance of color. They are true reflections of Amy herself, full of joy and brightness.

Amy studied art in italy at The SACI school of art and often travels back to Europe for inspiration. Her originals are highly collected across the US and her collectors often have a whole home full of her pieces. She has multipule commissions gracing the walls of restaurants and corporate collectors. Amy's work has also been featured in many publications including Southwest Art, Traditional Home, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, Baton Rouge Advocate, and Taste of the NFL New Orleans superbowl as the featured artist.

"The reaction and acceptance to Amy's work has been amazing. Our clients are completely mesmerized, drawn in and ultimately fall in love with the beautiful spirit of these works, and with Amy herself. Amy's work is sophisticated and filled with some kind of hard to describe, sublime energy that just translates straight to the heart. I've never seen anything like it. Men love her paintings as well as women. The only way to understand "it" is to see her work in person."    -- Karen Hewitt Hagan, owner of Hagan Fine Art Gallery & Studio.

Please join us Friday, March 1st from 5-8pm to meet Amy and enjoy being one of the firsts to see the new original paintings.

If you haven't been to Downtown Charleston's First Fridays yet, you're in for a treat! Be one of the first people to see the wonderful body of work Amy has brought to the gallery and be sure to say "Hi" to her and all of us here at Hagan Fine Art.
