I just arrived back home from the Tuscany Painting Workshop and I’d like to say “Welcome Back to international travel All!”
It’s so enriching, in so many ways, to be a part of a group painting experience abroad. Especially in Tuscany!
Hats off to the students who braved the airways and packed all the right art supplies and made it the best workshop ever!
The Il Chiostro staff: Stefano & Cindy, treated us like we were truly special and we enjoyed every minute of the deliciousness of living in a 14th century rambling villa with them for the week. They went beyond the call of duty, getting us all situated and transported to beautiful sites and area experiences.
The students painted their hearts out, tried all kinds of new techniques and added to their painting skills every day. It was evidenced in the last night celebration exhibition how well they painted all week. Bravo!
We loved the pre workshop visit to The Florence Academy of Art where our friend Tanvi Pathare teaches. Thank you Tanvi! And the rooftop dinner at the grand hotel Baglioni was a kick off inspiration in itself. Cant wait to paint from some of those photos.
This year, we welcomed brand new painters, mid career painters and seasoned veterans with us on this week long holiday workshop . (Even if you’re new to painting, yes you can join us next year). It’s great to explore a stunning new painting location with decades of experienced painters with you.
New friends were made at the lingering, multi course meals and future trips together were planned that I just can’t wait for!
