The comment I hear most often about my painting is "Happy". I've loved art all of my life and it warms my heart to know that I'm able to pass that love and joy on to others. I use color and shape to capture the wonders of the world around me. My love affair with art began as a child, when my favorite present was a new box of Crayola crayons.
Claudia earned a BFA Degree in Painting and Drawing in 1967 from the University of Georgia while raising a family and teaching art. She ran her own art school in Altalnta where she was able to teach about 100 students per week. She was also a part of the Atlanta Portrait Society.
She moved to Arizona where she painted the beautiful western landscape for 25 years. She has also traveled around the world, hiking, sketching, painting, and teaching.
Her recent move to Charleston, SC has brought her closer to her family where she can capture the beauty of our lowcountry landscapes.
