"Nicey is the name of a village in the Neibourgh valley. It is farm land. In this village the farmer is known to plant his sunflowers later than all other farmers. This gives me the chance to paint them longer. The village is a classic Burgundy village with its church peeking through. This time it was dressed with sunflowers and a late summer sky. The combination of the yellow sunflowers and the purplish clouds created a perfect harmony. I think that is the symbol of this place." - Antonin Passemard
