"Late Afternoon Breeze" is a horizontal, medium format original oil painting on canvas by award winning American artist, Larry Horowitz. This custom stretched oblong painting measures 20 x 30 inches and is framed in a traditional dark Larson Juhl frame measuring a total of 25.5 x 35.5 x 1.5 inches. A row of California cypresses, battered by years of winds stand majestically above the northern California cliffs. Larry's thoughtfulness using an underpainting of rich, deep blues bears more masculinity to the strength of these sentinels while giving a peaceful moment hidden from the rest of the world.
Larry Horowitz is an American landscape painter born in 1956 in New York City. Horowitz graduated from SUNY Purchase and immediately won the prestigious and coveted position as apprentice to Wolf Kahn. While under Kahn’s tutelage, Larry developed his own color pastel sticks which he sold to artist superstars Willem de Kooning, Frank Stella, Wayne Thiebaud, Jennifer Bartlett and Jim Dine among many others.
