“Blueprints in Palette Knife” is an inspired original oil painting made by artist Isaiah Ratterman in 2019. The painting is composed of cool-tones both light and deep that are masterfully used to create soft shadowing and contrast that offers a gentle perspective on the intrinsic beauty found in origami. The painting measure 24 x 24 inches and is framed in a champagne floater frame bringing the overall dimensions to 26 x 26 x 2 inches, offering a sense of balance and symmetry that compliments the painting’s composition providing a perfect synergy. Isaiah Ratterman is an award winning artist and received his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He lives and works in Denver, Colorado, where his life is immersed in art, both in his studio practice and teaching fine arts at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and Red Rocks. He has shown across the United States as well as internationally. Zaya, as he signs his work, is a shorthand moniker of his name, Isaiah, given to him by his family.
